BLS Online with In Person Skills Check for WSU Students
The American Heart Association’s BLS Online Course is web-based and accessible 24 hours a day. This type of training provides a flexible alternative to the classroom through case-based scenarios, interactive activities, and videos. The course covers the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.
Following the online portion of the class, participants must complete an in-person practice and testing session with an Instructor.
Students who successfully complete the online portion receive a certificate that allows them entrance to the skills practice and testing session.
Upon successful completion of the online class and skills practice and testing session, an American Heart Association BLS eCard will be issued.
This course requires that the online portion be done prior to your skills testing, print your certificate and bring it with you to the skills check. Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for you to complete the online portion.
Select the date that you will complete your in-person skills session.
Keys for the online portion of the course will be sent to the email provided at registration. Please note that online access will be sent during business hours M-F and are not sent automatically.
It is important that you be at least 5 minutes early for your scheduled session. Sessions will start on time and if you are late, you will need to wait for the next available timeframe, which may not be the same day. Due to COVID-19 we need time to take your temperature and get your checked in to your session.
Please bring a face mask with you. Thank you
