Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED for Babysitters

This course is for children ages 13+ that want to learn first aid and CPR skills to become a more successful babysitter. This is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that teaches students to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

This course covers:

  • Illnesses and injuries
  • Bleeding and bandaging
  • Allergic reactions
  • How to use an epinephrine pen
  • Asthma
  • Drowning
  • Bites and stings
  • Burns
  • CPR & AED for children
  • CPR for infants
  • Choking

All students will receive a manual to take home with them after the course.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an American Heart Association certification card valid for two years. All certification cards are issued via email. Please provide the specific email address you want your student's eCard sent to in the Student Info section of the checkout process. Students must be able to adequately demonstrate the first aid and CPR skills taught in the course to receive a certification card. Please ensure your child is strong enough to practice chest compressions before signing them up for this course.

This course does not meet licensing requirements for OSHA and other regulatory agencies. It is intended solely for babysitters who wants to acquire a first aid and CPR certification card.
