Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor- Initial
The ACLS Instructor Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and teach the first 10 core cases of the ACLS Program. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of prearrest emergencies (bradychardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.
- Must be an AHA ACLS Provder with a current card
- Send in a letter of recommendation from a prior AHA instructor or your current employer.
Instructor Certification is valid for 2 years. There is an additional Training Center Alignment Fee of $40 (fee includes your instructor card). This fee is paid after you are monitored teaching during your first class and all of your instructor paperwork is complete. Look here to find the next steps after your instructor course.
