Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Online with In Person Skills Testing

Start time is 13 to 20 weeks prior to your skills dates. All content must be completed three business days prior to day one of skills. Your instructor will contact you regarding curriculum start.

This Online EMT training course is a self directed, interactive, distance learning course that is approved for NREMT and Washington certification. The course curriculum covers all EMT knowledge and skill requirements for the new EMT National Education Standards.

If you are a self-motivated student who enjoys being challenged then this is a great educational opportunity.

Please know that enrollment into the EMT course is a two step process. This process includes registering and minimum payment as well as completion and submission of the course application (to be emailed after registration). Should the applicant complete both of these steps and meet the minimum requirements, they are considered accepted and enrolled in the program.

***Students MUST complete all of the online components of the course prior to beginning the in-person practical component.  This course is 100 clock hours and allows for 245 hours of student preparation time.  The suggested start date to start your online portion of this class is a minimum of 13 weeks prior to the in-person skills. The first day listed is the required content completion date. The second date listed is the first day of the practical skills components. You must complete the entire online portion prior to the first day of the practical skills. Students are also required to complete one 12-hour shift on an ambulance. This shift will be arranged by INHS and must be completed between the first and last day of skills. Please make yourself available during this time frame.

***STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO "ROLL-OVER" OR ENTER INTO THE NEXT SKILLS SESSION IF THEY DO NOT COMPLETE CONTENT IN TIME (3 business days prior to skills). INCOMPLETE CONTENT MAKES THE STUDENT INELIGIBLE TO ATTEND THEIR ASSIGNED SKILLS SESSIONS; STUDENTS WILL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE COURSE AND ASKED TO RE-ENROLL IF THEY WISH TO COMPLETE THE COURSE.

Upon successful completion of both components of this course a student will be authorized to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Cognitive examination. After successful completion of the examination the student will be awarded NREMT EMT Certification and can apply for Washington State or other State certification.
