Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
This course highlights the basic knowledge and skills necessary for individuals who wish to obtain state or national certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and adheres to the 2009 National EMS Education Standards which are based on the National EMS Core Content and the National EMS Scope of Practice that define the minimal entry-level educational competencies for each level of EMS training and has replaced the DOT National Standards curricula used in the past.
Please know that enrollment into the EMT course is a two step process. This process includes registering and minimum payment as well as completion and submission of the downloaded course application and background check form. To complete the second step, an admission packet will be emailed to you. This packet needs to be completed and returned to INHS. Should the applicant complete both of these steps and meet the minimum requirements, they are considered accepted and enrolled in the program.
