The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver Online Courses are web-based and accessible 24 hours a day. This option provides a flexible alternative to classroom training through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos.
After successful completion of the online course, a hands-on skills practice and testing session with an AHA Instructor must be completed. The skills test will cover any of the below classes:
This course requires that the online portion be done prior to your skills check. Print your certificate and bring it with you to the skills check.
An AHA course completion card (that is valid for 2 years) will be issued upon successful completion of the online portion, the skills practice and testing.
Select the best in-person skills time that works for you. Please ensure you arrive for your skills check on time. We suggest arriving 5 minutes early. If you arrive after your scheduled skills check time, you may have to wait for a later skills session or reschedule to a different day.
Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for you to complete the online portion. The online key to complete the online portion of the class will be e-mailed to the email provided at registration.
Please note, the online key will be sent during business hours M-F and will come in a separate email.
