The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED Online Course is web-based and accessible 24 hours a day. This option provides a flexible alternative to classroom training through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos. After successful completion of the online course, a hands-on skills practice and testing session with an AHA BLS Instructor must be completed.
Students receive a certificate to print and bring with them to the skills practice and testing session. An AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR & AED course completion card (that is valid for 2 years) will be issued upon successful completion of the online portion, the in person skills practice, and testing. This course requires that the online portion be done prior to your skills check. Print your certificate and bring it with you to the skills check.
Select the best skills check time that works for you. Please ensure you arrive for your skills check on time. We suggest arriving 5 minutes early. If you arrive after your scheduled skills check time, you may have to wait for a later skills session or reschedule to a different day.
Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for you to complete the online portion. Keys for the online portion of the course will be e-mailed out to participants to the e-mail provided upon registration. Please note that online access will be sent during business hours M-F and are not sent automatically.
